About Us

The Lenox National Bank was founded on February 1, 1889. The Bank rented its first office in Sedgwick Hall, which was at the time the county courthouse. The Lenox Library now serves the community out of this same space. In 1902, the Bank relocated to the Town Hall and operated out of what is now the Town Treasurer's Office.

On August 21, 1968 the Bank purchased the historic Monument Inn located on the corner of Main and West Streets. Renovations were completed in 1971 and the Bank opened for business. To this day, this beautiful historic building is the Bank's main office.

The Bank's logo is a "doughnut vault" that was purchased from the Mosler Safe Company in 1889 for the Bank's cash and securities. This vault is now located in front of the Bank's main office and has become a popular "photo spot" for the many tourists who visit the area.
